Accessibility

EchoTools is a playful, visual experience — and we want it to work for everyone. We build with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA as our target, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing job, not a checkbox.

What we've built in

• A no-camera way in. The wave-to-enter is optional — there's a "knock instead" button, fully keyboard-operable. No webcam is ever required.
• Keyboard support. Controls are real buttons and links you can reach and operate with a keyboard, with a clear focus outline.
• Reduced motion. If your system asks for less motion, we honor it and turn off the animations.
• Sound is under your control. A single toggle mutes everything — videos, voices, and effects.
• Captions. Our videos carry captions so nothing is voice-only.
• Readable contrast. Text meets AA contrast against our dark backdrop.
• Screen-reader labels. Interactive elements carry descriptive labels, and inactive sections are hidden from assistive tech.
• Milo speaks in text, too. Everything Milo says out loud is also written on screen.

Known limits

EchoTools is a cinematic, animated site by design. Some motion and video are ambient decoration — but the things that matter (what each tool does, how to get it, and Milo's answers) are reachable without them. We're always improving.
